If you are stuck for a gift idea this Christmas, especially for old people and those relatives that are just a bit awkward to buy for. Have you considered getting them a hamper? Hampers are great gifts for people who like fruit cake, biscuits, chutney and strangely flavoured nuts all packaged up in a nice bit of wicker – these people are generally old.

Old people like to slowly unwrap a hamper on Christmas day, and studiously study each individual item, including reading the ingredients by lifting their bifocals and scrutinising the label closely while wrinkling up their nose. It’s also a good way of killing to birds with one stone – that aunt and uncle that you can’t think of what to get. Everyone needs to eat and there is nothing nicer than a good chutney with your Christmas cheese.
