With a life as busy as mine making sure I make time for beauty and spa treatments can be an uphill struggle even during the long summer days. When the winter rolls around and the nights draw in much earlier, it seems I have even fewer hours in the day to get things done so my beauty regime quite often gets tossed aside. That said it’s a sad fact that during the winter months when the air is cold and dry, winds are harsh and shopping bags are inexplicably heavier, it’s more important than ever to take care of our bodies – after all, you only get one!
I’m making a pledge to myself to take better care of my body this winter and to make rather than find the time to look after myself. That old excuse about lack of “beauty funds” is out the window too thanks to daily offer emails and websites offering excellent deals on spa breaks, massages, beauty treatments and personal fitness expertise. I’m going to try to take the time to prepare my hair, body and skin for the harshness of winter so that I’ll still be looking and feeling my best when spring rolls back around – even if all this pledge means is just setting aside an extra five minutes in the morning to treat my hair or a few minutes before bed to moisturise!
