Real Life: Introducing Macnaughty – Lighter Brighter Times Ahead

Patience is not one of my virtues. I have so much vision, not enough budget and I am trying to do too much at once.

So here’s the deal; I have to write that godamn pesky book – Looking For Mr Rabbit. This is now my priority and will remain my focus until the project is completed.

In the meantime, I have launched Macnaughty on Facebook – please LIKE my page. I have started my You Tube journey as I grow vegetables in my garden. I have big You Tube plans but I can’t do everything and the book has to be my priority. Until then everything is a bit Heath Robinson. Macnaughty is me as a Wiltshire based mother, who is trying to live more sustainably. It’s lifestyle, food, gardening and family focused. I am also on Instagram. Yes, I am going to be one of those people who takes pictures of food!

I am still married – just! I am still impacted by my husband’s military role and I am trying to provide a fantastic environment for my children to grow up in. Raising my children in a loving home is the MOST important thing to me. The death of my own mother and then my father choosing to marry a women, who doesn’t love children, and certainly didn’t raise my as a daughter, has had a huge impact on who I am today. For me it has had a long lasting impact; decades of social confusion and insecurity. I want my children to grow up loved and secure in the knowledge that are loved. Guided by both parents. This means that Hagar and I are working together to raise our children.

Macnaughty has been my nickname for many years. I didn’t choose it but it’s fun, frivolous and truly reflects who I am. After years of trolling and military sneering I feel it’s time to lighten the load and focus on more fruitful, positive, growth based adventures then be polluted by the toxic, black smoke of the past.

Onwards and upwards. All aboard the fun bus!
